Special Announcement:Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch visited Oak Prairie on October 24, 2019. She was on tour with Scholastic to promote her new book: "Don't Tell the Nazis." Marsha has received many honors for her historical fiction novels and Oak Prairie was thrilled to have her visit! Click the links below to read more and watch her book trailers. All of her books are available in the library to be checked out.

OP Library Media Center Year in Review - 2018 19
Book Club, Book Fair, Book Dating, Book Battle, Book Voting . . .and the Harry Potter Escape Room. The Oak Prairie Library Media Center is all about BOOKS!!
With the support of the D92 PFA, the Library Media Center was able to give away 250 FREE BOOKS as part of the "Kaleidoscope of Characters" for the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award Program. And with the support of the District 92 Foundation for Educational Excellence, the Library Media Center was able to feature a "Harry Potter Escape Room" during our polar vortex makeup days. In honor of National Library Week in April, the OP Library Media Center celebrated READING with an Oragami Makerspace Bookmark station. The critically acclaimed young adult author, Jennifer Nielsen, visited Oak Prairie Junior High on Wednesday, November 7. Her book, A Night Divided, set during the rise of the Berlin Wall in Germany., was the 2018 Caudill winner.
